Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day weekend.  Friday we drove to Redlands and had a great dinner with the McNairys and the Boghs.  After wonderful food, great conversation, and a late night we finished our trip onto Palm Springs.  We spent the rest of the weekend at my grandparents house.  Dan, Steph, and baby J joined us for Saturday.  We talked, snacked, talked some more, and went out to dinner.  Sunday we enjoyed breakfast together, church, and more talking.  Little S joined us in the afternoon for swimming and a lovely dinner outside on the patio.

Dan, Steph, and the girls left Sunday evening.  Monday Ryan and I enjoyed a round of golf, shopping at Target, and swimming.

The end of a great weekend was dinner at Kobe Steakhouse.  This was Ryan's first time at a Japanese restaurant where they cook in front of you.  It was an interesting evening and great food.

Have you ever laughed out loud when you were by your self?

I did last night.
Let me set the stage for you. I stopped at In-N-Out after a business dinner to get Ryan some food. In-N-Out is right off the freeway tucked between some gas stations but not much else around. I went through the drive through because I was lazy and didn’t want to get out of my car. After I paid and got the food I was pulling though the parking lot making my way to the exit. In the dark I could see a man walking towards In-N-Out. He was fully decked out in his cowboy attire. Vest, chaps with side fringe, cowboy boots, and a huge hat. I though it was a little funny seeing this man full clothed in cowboy attired strutting into In-N-Out burger. I smiled at the sight and I kept driving just in time to see a huge horse standing next to a palm tree in the parking lot. Are you kidding me? This cowboy rode his HORSE to In-N-Out at 10 o’clock at night in the middle of Santa Barbara CA and tied him to a PALM TREE to make sure he didn’t run away. It was awesome.

Happy Friday

My niece is so stinking cute. I haven't seen her in a month and a half and that is way too long.

These pictures are going to make my mom worry... But we are ok

I took these pictures yesterday.
This is in the parking lot of my office looking right at the fire. The scary part is that the flames were at eye level.

This is from the window in my office. The fire is to the back of me but the wind was blowing the smoke right over head.
