New York
Two weeks ago my parents came to LA and watched our children so we could go on a long weekend trip. We went back to New York and it was a blast. We got to see a lot of our old friends, we went to the investor dinner for the company i use to work for, we celebrate Valentine's Day, we meet Ryan's brother's girlfriend, we shopped, ate, and had a amazing time.
We stayed at the Hyatt at Grand Central which was perfect. I love the Grand Central terminal and it is even better now that they have a Shake Shack.
This was the awesome view from our window.
The weather was cold and snowy the whole time but we kind of liked it.
This was the first time I have seen Saritza since my last day at work 5+ years ago.
We even trained it out to Long Island to see Nick and Joelle's new house and super cute little baby boy.
We went to dinner at the Modern Bar room. It was outstanding food.
This picture was for my little boys. This was the first time away from all three of them. I missed them but it was REALLY nice to have some time away.

This Boy Gives me Gray Hair
On February 1st my little William decided to swallow a screw. He had been put in his room in time out for hurting his sister. After only being up there for about 2 minutes I heard crying so I went to check on him. He was crying and coughing and he kept saying his tongue hurt. He kept coughing and crying and then started throwing up. He was holding a remote control and at first I though maybe the batteries had shocked him. He finally stopped throwing up and I got him to calm down and cleaned up. William has a speech delay so I couldn't get a straight answer about what had happened. At this point he seemed fine. He did have a plastic bag that had a screw in it and I couldn't remember if there had been 2 screws. (I know I am sounding like a horrible mother, but he did scale his bookshelf to get this bag that had the remote control and screws.) Ryan was gone all day at a school thing and I wasn't sure what else to do. The on call pediatrician said well maybe he would be ok. I didn't feel ok with that answer. So I called my wonderful visiting teacher and she came over to watch Truman and Michelle. I took Will to the ER just to be safe. They took the x-ray and it showed up in less then 2 second. In my heart I was really hoping that it wasn't in there. So we sat there for 5 hours while the doctor waited for word back from the children's hospital. They sent us home and told me to watch him very carefully. It was moving along in his little body but it was so sharp they didn't want it to perforate his bowl. We went back the next day for a follow up x-ray and it showed it was still moving. That afternoon I was a brave mommy and fished through his poop and found the screw. I did it for peace of mind and to save me another trip to the ER. Luckily everything turned out ok.
Strong stomach acid.
Day 1
Day 2
Yippee I am finally in 2014
At the beginning of this year we spent more time at Disneyland, stayed at home a lot with sick kids, and Michelle learned to crawl and pull herself up.
Christmas and New Years
We were in Reno this year for Christmas. This was just after church the Sunday before Christmas. We all shine up nicely if I do say so myself.
(I am grateful for my phone camera or else I wouldn't have any pictures from 2013 but pictures sure do turn out better when I use my real camera.)
Santa Claus came to the house on Christmas Eve. The boys were pretty excited and Michelle didn't cry (which is a big deal because she wouldn't even let Grandmas and Grandpas hold her.)
Getting ready for bed so Santa can come.
Family pictures
We celebrated New Years Eve with sparklers and poppers.
The night quickly ended when Will burnt his finger.
We were in Reno for about 2 weeks. We got to celebrate with my side of the family also just a few days after Christmas. We took the boys to see their first movie in an actual theater. We went to see Frozen and they really enjoyed it. We were sad that there was no snow but they got to ride their scooters and Big Wheels a lot. Ryan and I even got to go out on a date night.
