New Years 2013

Shortly after Christmas we flew back to Reno to spend some time with Ryan's entire family. It was a lot of fun to be together, but we stayed up way too late most nights and it was really cold for our thin Santa Barbara blood.  We went bowling, and Truman still has not stopped talking about it.  He loved it.  We played in the snow and built the boys' first snowman. We had our usual cookie decorating party, but I had done something to my foot and I couldn't get off the couch. :( We went to see Les Miserables, and it was outstanding. Ryan and I got to go to dinner (sans boys) with Sarah and Jesse. A real couples date night, and it was so nice. New Years Eve was filled with family pictures, yummy food, and games.  It was a great holiday. (I need to be better about taking pictures. We did all these fun things, and I have no photos of them.)

Sweet baby Chuck was not happy about grand-baby pictures.
My boys love black olives.  Tru was so proud of himself.

Christmas 2012

Christmas 2012 was busy and relaxing all at the same time. We started with a weekend in San Francisco with my extended family.  We stayed right on Union Square and enjoyed beautiful views of the tree and ice skating.  Unfortunately these are the only two pictures I captured from the weekend.  First one is us taking the boys to see the tree at night and the second is of a fun dinner out with Nicole and Chris.

The next part of the holiday took us to Hawaii with my family.  It was a great vacation, and I already want to go back. For the most part the boys were really good when we went out to eat. Our second morning we went out on the hotel boat and got to see dozens of dolphins. Ryan was luck and swam with them.  I stayed on the boat with the boys who enjoyed the ride. (I captured this boat ride on the video camera. Sorry no pictures.)

We spent a couple of morning down at the actual beach letting the boys play in the sand and throw rocks as well as swam at the hotel pool. Their favorite parts were getting coconut/ strawberry smoothies at the hotel and playing with the ping pong table.
We gave the boys real little boy golf putters. Truman was in HEAVEN!
Big Wills liked the dessert every night.

 Decorating their first gingerbread house.
I have a lot of video of Christmas morning but not a lot of pictures. After opening gifts we went to the hotel for our favorite breakfast buffet.  This is the only picture I have of that day.  Not a bad location from Christmas breakfast.
Truman would spend hours on the putting green if we would let him.

Thank you mom and dad for a fun Christmas.
