Lake Tahoe Wedding and Our New Home

July 18th Ryan and I flew home for Ryan's cousin's wedding up at Tahoe. We stayed at Zephyr Cove Resort in a small cabin right near the lake. It was a great time.

After the wedding we went to Santa Barbara to find a new place to live. We found a very cute townhome, and we are getting excited for new adventures.

Philharmonic in the Park

Last night the weather was beautiful and we were able sit and listen to the philharmonic play in the park. It was just us and are closest 1 million friends. It was so crowded but we still had a great time. We took Mexican, watched the fireflies come out, and chatted with the quiet background noise of the philharmonic playing (we were really far away from the stage or any speakers). They ended with Finlandia which was perfect for Ryan and then we watched the firework. I love summer evenings in New York.

Weekend in the Hamptons

We got back from Hawaii on Tuesday afternoon, I had 2 days of work and then I spent Friday and Saturday in the Hamptons. I know rough life..

We just got back from 10 wonderful days in Hawaii. We were with Ryan's family celebrating his little brother Alex's return from his mission, his parents 30th wedding anniversary, his mom's birthday, and his other little brothers' birthday. Here is the recap with pictures

We arrived in Kona after a very LONG day of travel.

We stayed at my Grandparents house, and the first day we were up at 5:00am because it was 11:00am New York time.  So, this is the sun rise.

We had lunch at the Beach Grill where we introduced everyone to lava flows (virgin Pina Coladas with strawberry puree) Yummy. Everyone was hooked.

We swam a lot. This night the boys were diving for a dime.

We played in the waves a lot. The waves were not huge, but we still played like crazy.

We took the trek out to the volcano. We were sad because we could not walk as far out as we were use to be able to, but it is still incredible to see.

4th of July fireworks Stodtmeister style. We had been down to the hotel and watched the big extravagant fireworks and then put on our own little show at the house.

A few of the things not pictures were shopping, reading, playing tennis, seeing Wall-E, sitting in the sun, watching TV, snorkeling, sitting the the jacuzzi, eating, and sleeping. It was perfect.

It has been three year since we have all been together and it might be another 3 years before we are together again. So this trip will have to tide us over until next time.

Concert

Last night Ryan and I had the opportunity to go to Carnegie Hall for a Herbie Hancock concert. It was actually really fun. I don't know much about jazz but I still enjoyed it. The opening musician was really incredible his name is Lionel Loueke. Carnegie Hall is one incredible venue.
