Hawaii

On July 4th Nicole, Chris, Isabel, Cami, Ryan and I all made our way to the Big Island of Hawaii. It has been a couple of year since the O’Duttonmeister clan has been in Hawaii together and it was wonderful. We enjoyed our afternoon on the 4th in Hawaii but the fireworks were a little disappointing. They got cut short because they were blowing back on the hotel. (Or so they say, we all guessed budget cuts) Sunday the 5th Mom and Dad arrived and the party officially started. We did our usual activities: golf, eat, relax, shop, sleep, talk, swim, and eat some more. It was perfect and we already want to go back.

Thank you Mom and Dad for a WONDERFUL trip!

Trip to Reno

On June 21st Ryan’s little brother Kyle was going through the temple for the first time in preparation for his mission. We flew home on the 21st to be there for the occasion, to celebrate Father’s Day and spend time with the family. Saturday morning after we arrived all the Stodtmeister boys played golf and the Stodtmeister girls got pedicures. Sorry no pictures. As a family we went to the temple in the afternoon and had a wonderful experience being together. Everyone was there except for Kipp who we missed greatly. Afterwards we all enjoyed dinner at P.F. Changs and yummy cupcakes.

This temple is special to us because we got married here 5 years ago.

Sunday we went to church together and then celebrated Father’s day by picking cherries from the tree in the yard, watching Soda catch a Frisbee, having a BBQ and spending some time together as a family.

(Alex if you read this I promise to send you the family pictures tonight.)

Girls Week

Ryan went as a leader to Scout camp in June so Mom, Nicole and Izzy came to keep me company. We had a blast. I am a proud aunt as you will see by the many pictures of the cutest niece in the world (at least I think so).

Lunch together

She is so patient. She let us shop for 4 hours at the outlet mall and was happy as a clam.
except for one blow out
She loves to watch TV

I love a baby with a binky

This one is just because it is so cute.

Ryan was tired when he got home from Scout camp so she just chilled with him on the couch.

Fun Friends

I need to make up for lost time:

June 12 we had some fun visitors come to Santa Barbara. Dan, Steph and baby J joined us for a fun filled weekend. A few of the things we did were: eat Mexican food, visit the mission, ate breakfast on the beach, shopped at an estate sale, enjoyed Pinkberry and Yogurtland, drove to Solvang, walked along the beach, ate home made pizza, and talked a lot.
It was a great weekend please come back soon.

Happy Anniversary to us

Usually we don't give each other gift for our anniversary but since this was kind of a big anniversary for us we decided to exchange this year. We got some fun goodies.

I got Ryan a Wii. (Thanks Stodtmeisters for the Wii Fit.)
and Ryan got me new golf clubs.
After work on our annniversary we hit golf balls with my new clubs, we went to sushi, and stayed up late playing the wii. It was a fun evening. Saturday we found a new breakfast spot on the beach and had a lovely morning. It is so nice living by the ocean.

I know it has been a long time since I have update but I have somewhat of an excuse. A week and a half ago we were in Reno and I left my camera with all my pictures or our adventures there. It is in the mail on the way back to me and as soon as it arrives I will go post crazy.

Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day weekend.  Friday we drove to Redlands and had a great dinner with the McNairys and the Boghs.  After wonderful food, great conversation, and a late night we finished our trip onto Palm Springs.  We spent the rest of the weekend at my grandparents house.  Dan, Steph, and baby J joined us for Saturday.  We talked, snacked, talked some more, and went out to dinner.  Sunday we enjoyed breakfast together, church, and more talking.  Little S joined us in the afternoon for swimming and a lovely dinner outside on the patio.

Dan, Steph, and the girls left Sunday evening.  Monday Ryan and I enjoyed a round of golf, shopping at Target, and swimming.

The end of a great weekend was dinner at Kobe Steakhouse.  This was Ryan's first time at a Japanese restaurant where they cook in front of you.  It was an interesting evening and great food.

Have you ever laughed out loud when you were by your self?

I did last night.
Let me set the stage for you. I stopped at In-N-Out after a business dinner to get Ryan some food. In-N-Out is right off the freeway tucked between some gas stations but not much else around. I went through the drive through because I was lazy and didn’t want to get out of my car. After I paid and got the food I was pulling though the parking lot making my way to the exit. In the dark I could see a man walking towards In-N-Out. He was fully decked out in his cowboy attire. Vest, chaps with side fringe, cowboy boots, and a huge hat. I though it was a little funny seeing this man full clothed in cowboy attired strutting into In-N-Out burger. I smiled at the sight and I kept driving just in time to see a huge horse standing next to a palm tree in the parking lot. Are you kidding me? This cowboy rode his HORSE to In-N-Out at 10 o’clock at night in the middle of Santa Barbara CA and tied him to a PALM TREE to make sure he didn’t run away. It was awesome.

Happy Friday

My niece is so stinking cute. I haven't seen her in a month and a half and that is way too long.

These pictures are going to make my mom worry... But we are ok

I took these pictures yesterday.
This is in the parking lot of my office looking right at the fire. The scary part is that the flames were at eye level.

This is from the window in my office. The fire is to the back of me but the wind was blowing the smoke right over head.
