1st trip to Hawaii

Ryan was done with school for the rest of the summer so we decided to take advantage of the free time and go to Hawaii. The first part of the trip was just us Stodtmeisters. It was fun showing the boys around and relaxing. For the second part of the trip my family joined in. Vacations are different now that we have children but we had a wonderful time.

Family pictures wore Truman out.
I couldn't resist taking this picture. I am sure Truman will hate me for this when he gets older but for now I don't care. He is so cute.

Lounging by the kiddie pool.

I love this picture of my sister and Isabel. So beautiful
I was always the one taking the pictures. So this was my attempt at a self portrait. William looks hysterical.

The boys got a jumper in Reno (thanks Brice and Sam) and they love it.

Happy Belated Birthday Ry

Ryan had a birthday on August 1st. My parents were in town so we actually got to go to dinner without babies. We celebrated with the boys when we got home.

Now that the boys are almost 5 months old I better post their 4 month stats.

Truman:

We celebrated their 4 month birthday with a round of the croup. It was so bad that even Ryan got sick. William got it first and just as he was getting better Truman came down with it. Luckily everyone is better now.

I Write Like...

Ryan and I heard about I Write Like today on NPR today, so we tested it out with my last blog entry and to Ryan's amusement and satisfaction...
I write like

Ryan then spent twenty minutes putting in various writing samples of his own until he got a match he felt really reflected his literary influences...

4th of July

For the 4th of July we took William and Truman home to Reno for the first time. They were great little travelers, and we had a fun weekend. Friday night we meet the Stodtmeisters out at the lake for dinner. It was a little windy, so we ended up hanging out in the camper all evening. The rest of the family camped that night, but we were not feeling so adventurous and headed back to Reno and slept in a nice bed.

Saturday we went back out to the lake and spent the day in the sun.

Their first dip in Pyramid lake. William was not happy. A little too cold.
Truman was not fazed.
William needed cuddles from mommy.
The day ended with a battle on the bananas.

Sunday the 4th we went to church and hung out with family. William and Truman meet Aunt Char, Uncle Myron, Chris, and Grandma Dutton for the first time.

June 23rd 3 months old

They are getting so big and are super smiley. They are starting to use their little voices more. The other day William squawked so loud he scared himself. They are good little sleepers. Truman loves to sleep in in the morning and William likes to be. William loves to lay under the little hanging play toys. The other day he fell asleep playing. It was pretty funny. They have both rolled from their tummies to their backs one or twice. More out of frustration then desire to roll over. They both really like bath time. Truman loves sitting on his Daddy's lap and playing the air drums. William is really sensative and jumpy. Ryan's sneezes evan scare him. It is fun to see them change every day.

Ryan's First Father's day

The weekend of Father's Day both sides of the family came to Santa Barbara. The Grandparents rented an awesome house near the beach and we had a great time playing pool, ping pong, eating, and just hanging out. The best part was Sunday at church Ryan gave the boys blessings. We felt very lucky to have all our family there. (We missed you Kipp and Kyle.) It was a perfect way to celebrate Ryan's first Father's Day.

Uncle Alex had just returned from a study abroad in China and he had some great stories.

Debi this picture is for you. Thank you for the booties. They were a little tired and this was the best picture I could get.

Uncle Chris just finished his MBA program and came to chill with the boys. Congratulations.

2 Month Update

William (Right), a.k.a. Hawkman, weighs in at 11 lbs. 3 oz. and is 21.5 inches long.
Truman, a.k.a. Trubacca or Truwie, weighs in at 10 lbs. 14 oz. and is 22.25 inches long.
We are pretty sure over 50 percent of Will's weight is in his ginormous head.

Happy Mother's Day

I am so lucky to be a mom.

Mother's day has taken on new meaning for me this year. I am even more grateful for the mother, mother-in-law, sisters, grandmas, aunts, cousins, friends, teachers, church leaders in my life and for everything they have taught me. Thank You.
