Freedom
It has always been a dream of mine to live in a big city. I always loved the idea of walking everywhere, buying flowers at a corner market, and doing the things you can do in a big city. Well I got my wish and here we are in New York but I have discovered a few things. One of the things that I have learned is that I miss having a car. We rented a car this weekend and it was heavenly. I went shopping in Jersey on Saturday and we went for a Sunday afternoon drive. I miss having a car soooooo much. I love the freedom. But i don't miss insurance, registration, gas, or the occasional break down. I will post pictures soon.

The car is nice, but having one in the city is no picnic either. Borrow ours for a night and then try to find parking. After a year of trial and error and talking to every long-time NY driver about where and when to get at the elusive spots, I feel like we are just finally getting it. But, we have spent a lot of time waiting, waiting, waiting for spots. Did I mention waiting?
I couldn't agree more - I love NYC but we REALLY REALLY miss the freedom of a car too!
And I just had a brilliant idea spurred by Nicole's recipe post - shouldn't you & Ryan post some of your fantastic recipes? I know I'm setting up for some great disappointment here when I make them myself, but its worth a try. :)
Hi guys,
I decided to come clean about being a lurker on your blog...I actually found some friends of ours from BYU that we haven't talked to for years on here! Rachel and Ryan? Anyway, I love checking in on you and all the New Yorker friends!! Take care!
