Through out the holidays we were battling with William to keep him in his crib. No matter what kind of cage or fortes we built around his bed he would get out. So finally in January we decided to switch their beds to big boy beds. Night time was never and issue, but nap time was a different story.
This was the first day and neither of them took a nap, so they both crashed that afternoon on the couch snuggling with mommy.
The next day they were so tire that they slept like champs. I would say for the next month or two we would have to remind William to stay in his bed but he would eventually fall asleep.
It really was an easier transition then I thought and they loved the new beds and freedom.
